About me

Who is Molly Bee?

My name is Molly Leonard, I'm 26 and have fought with mental health challenges since age 15, including battles with anorexia, anxiety, and depression. My journey through these struggles has been winding, marked by moments of despair and ultimately profound growth.

In 2022, I faced a critical moment in my battle with anorexia, prompting me to reassess the trajectory of my life. Until then, I had tried to adhere to a conventional path: education, university, career, family. But facing my illness head-on made me realize that this path wasn't mine to follow.

Since leaving hospital in Summer 2022, I embarked on a new journey guided by my passion for crafts and mindfulness. Collaborating with the Prince's Trust, I established my own business offering mindful craft workshops to my community. It was a bold leap into the unknown, but it felt right—a chance to pursue something I loved while making a tangible difference in people's lives.

Crafting had been my lifeline during my darkest moments. Throughout years of treatment, including multiple stays in eating disorder units, it was my constant companion—a form of therapy I could carry with me wherever I went. I even shared my passion with fellow patients, hosting impromptu workshops with them during my own hospital stays.

In my workshops, I blend my first-hand experience with mental health challenges with my passion for crafting and mindfulness. It's not just about teaching a skill; it's about empowering others to find solace and strength in creativity, to discover the healing power of living in the present moment.
